I've been getting this error message the last few mornings when I try to launch Outlook. Cracks me up.

The solution is a simple reboot, but I think the error message could be a bit more helpful. I mean -- how should my operating system be configured? What can I change about my OS configuration that would enable me to run "this application?"
Thats funny.
My wife has called me from work several times asking me what some error message means, but thats one I've never seen.
Good ol Microsoft. Totally efficient at confusing and pissing off users for decades.
It's the installation registry entries that are corrupted. Run the Repair option from Microsoft Office and it should fix it. Unless of course you're refering to Outlook Express, in which case you'll have to do something magical with the IE / Outlook Express installation.
Isn't Microsoft fun :)

Thanks for the heads up, James. It's regular Outlook, but it's only happened once or twice. Not a consistent issue by any stretch. I'll give the registry repair a shot, though. Lord knows I've installed enough crap on my PC that it could use a good cleansing.
